Finally Back!

Sorry I haven't been posting for a while! I fell down the steps and hurt my back really badly, so it's been hurting and everything has been going so SLOW. It's incredible the amount of things we do with our backs and don't even realize it. Anyway, I have few new items which I hope to list soon in time for Valentine :) Oh and here is one of my new kitties, more pics coming soon. I can have a "live inspiration" in the home with me for my paintings lol.

I've been very busy this holiday season with custom pet portraits and I wanted to share with you one of the latest paintings. Very, very, special thanks to my wonderful customers who are always so kind to let me use their pictures. :-) This is gorgeous Lucy!

Look who is here!

Today was the first day of real winter weather and in the middle of all the snow falling this kitty showed up at our door. So now she's inside the house and I have no idea if she has been vetted or litter box trained for that matter. But I could not let her stay outside in the cold! I hope we can keep her-she is very affectionate. People are leaving their pets behind is so sad! So, we'll see, I'll keep you posted :-)

update 12/6/09: we found the owner :-) This gorgeous kitty is named OLIVIA, which fits quite well with her personality. The owner leaves next to us-who knew they adopted ANOTHER cat recently. Anyway, they were super happy to find her well!

Original Folk Art Pet Portrait

I just wanted to share my latest custom work, a pet portrait of Blossom-this adorable dog unfortunately passed away recently, so it's been a true pleasure and honor to be able to work on capturing her cuteness and cheerful spirit.

I love those evenings where the sun has just gone down and the moon is out but you can still see orange tones in the horizon, so I tried to give her a background that would speak of that. For a primitive look I added a willow tree and a saltbox :-)

I also thought I'd mention that I am having a FREE FRAMING SPECIAL-with all my custom pet portrait orders, where your painting will come framed at no additional cost :-)

Cat with Black Bird

You can tell from his ears..this kitty is not too happy about having this big black bird on his head-lol. The weather is terrible and the pictures really do not do it justice. I will take more tomorrow :-) Happy weekend!
